Back from the Chebfun workshop

Yann is back from the Chebfun 2012 workshop: fantastic talks, rich discussions, great hosts. We now have many bits of knowledge to be incorporated back into our imaging pipeline. Given the attendance and wide range of interests, Chebfun project is experiencing an inflation. We are proud to be the first large scale --and yet academic--  application of the Chebfun framework, and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration with the Chebfun team.

Apart from continuing our work on applying Chebfun in every part of our imaging reconstruction pipeline, we shall now focus on three tasks:
  1. develop a robust GPU acceleration module for Chebfun;

  2. continue investigating our Radon approach for Chebfun 2D;

  3. benchmark different languages that could replace Matlab for the Chebfun core code.
